Google updates Gmail for iPhone and Android with new features

Over the last six months, Google has added a lot of features in web-version of Gmail for iPhone and Android phones. Few of the notable features are: mute, label management, keyboard shortcuts, smart links, an outbox, and the ability to move messages (label and archive in one step).

Some newest features are swipe-to-archive and auto-expanding compose boxes. Quite a few features are mobile phone only features and Google want you to take advantage of these mobile phones’ unique properties. Google has also made address auto-complete faster, enhanced refresh capabilities, and sped up loading so Gmail for mobile starts in under three seconds on newer smartphones.
