Erin Andrew Video on Bing Search

Erin Andrew’s lawyers are working hard to stop the spread of the video. But guess what, searching for the video has been made so simple by Bing Search engine. All you need to do is turn off your adult filter content and search for the video. Bingo! Video is right at the top.

Many of the real video links were broken after Andrews’ lawyer and the ESPN legal team stepped in – pointing out that she is actually the victim of a crime.

“Although the perpetrator or perpetrators of this criminal act have not yet been identified, when they are identified she intends to bring both civil and criminal charges against them and against anyone who has published the material,” the lawyer wrote.

“While alone in the privacy of her hotel room, Erin Andrews was surreptitiously videotaped without her knowledge or consent,” her lawyer said in a statement.

We believe that Bing caches all of the videos it shows in the search results. I have seen quite a few videos which are part of Bing’s search result but when I try to access the real site the videos are no longer available. Due to this arises a potential issue -  what if someone loads a pornographic video on YouTube and at the same time Bing’s crawler is indexing the videos on YouTube. Effectively now the video is cached on the Bing’s servers/databases and shown in the search results.

Here is a big question to Bing – Why is it caching the video? Probably to have that “cool” on hover play feature! Why there is no censorship on Bing’s site especially when Erin Andrew video is topping the charts in all the search trends?
